In the midst of a mystic Scottish sea loch, her majestic flagship is steered by hardened oarsmen, each pair following the previous with a slight delay to create a wave-like rhythm that propagates through every rowing cycle. As the queen gazes into the water, a vision from her foresight haunts her: the Evil Eye and blood-stained footprints, signs of treachery surrounding the death of her slain king. As the flagship touches the shore in a secluded cove, the royal retinue is watched by an unseen figure from a lonely hilltop. Macha then rides up the liminal path towards her stone fortress on the windswept Great Headland, followed closely by her trusted warriors. After arriving at the stronghold, Macha enters the royal enclosure and climbs the stairs as dark clouds gather overhead. There, another vision emerges before her: Dunadd, the sacred heart of her kindred, and perhaps the queen herself leading her warriors and druids into the looming war. This hand-painted cinematic evokes the mythic landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and the legendary world of Dál Riata through Celtic mythology, folklore and fantasy. lp-bk1-ep3 Sun, 20 Sep 2026 11:33:00 GMT 00:01:00 1 2 https://bargusmytheral.com/lore/lore-details?library_id=1&lore_id=1
