the number of gout patients of japanese people increased 5.12-fold from 1986 to 2022 (1986: 0.255 million; 2022: 1.306 million). the aim of this article is to suggest what micronutrient intake is important for the prevention of gout in japanese people in 2022 referencing the results of clinical research reported. the author used the data of the comprehensive survey of living conditions in japan for the number of gout patients (1986-2022) and the data of the national health and nutrition survey in japan (1946-2022) for the intake of micronutrients. micronutrient intake of japanese people in 2022 were compared with those in 2019. the relationship between the number of gout patients and micronutrient intake in japanese people was examined. the daily intake of micronutrients of japanese people in 2022 were evaluated using dietary reference intakes. the daily intake of vitamin e, vitamin k, and pantothenic acid of japanese people in 2022 were higher compared to those in 2019, respectively. whereas the daily intake of vitamin a, vitamin d, vitamin b2, niacin, vitamin b6, folate, vitamin b12, vitamin c, sodium, salt, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, copper, and zinc of japanese people in 2022 were lower compared to those in 2019. the daily intake of vitamin b1 of japanese people in 2022 was the same as that in 2019. the daily intake of vitamin a, vitamin d, vitamin e, vitamin b1, vitamin b2, folate, vitamin b12, vitamin c, salt, calcium, iron, and copper were negatively correlated with the number of gout patients, respectively. the daily niacin intake was positively correlated with the number of gout patients. modification of micronutrient intake for the prevention of gout in japanese people (especially adults) in 2022 is suggested as follows: limiting or decreasing intake of sodium and salt; decreasing intake of niacin; decreasing or pay attention to not to excessive intake of vitamin k, pantothenic acid, vitamin b12, phosphorus, and copper; increase intake of vitamin a, vitamin d, vitamin e, vitamin b1, vitamin b6, folate, calcium, potassium, and magnesium; increase intake of vitamin b2 in japanese men (aged 15-59 years) and women (aged 15-49 years), vitamin c in japanese men (aged 20-59 years) and women (aged 20-49 years), iron in japanese men (aged 20-59 years) and women (aged 20-69 years, ≥ 75 years), and zinc in japanese men (aged ≥ 20 years) and women (aged 20-69 years, aged ≥ 80 years).

purpose the ketogenic nutritional therapy (kenut) is an effective dietary treatment for patients with obesity and obesity-related comorbidities, including type 2 diabetes, dyslipidaemia, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and some type of cancers. however, to date an official document on the correct prescription of the ketogenic diet, validated by authoritative societies in nutrition or endocrine sciences, is missing. it is important to emphasize that the ketogenic nutritional therapy requires proper medical supervision for patient selection, due to the complex biochemical implications of ketosis and the need for a strict therapeutic compliance, and an experienced nutritionist for proper personalization of the whole nutritional protocol. methods this practical guide provides an update of main clinical indications and contraindications of ketogenic nutritional therapy with meal replacements and its mechanisms of action. in addition, the various phases of the protocol involving meal replacements, its monitoring, clinical management and potential side effects, are also discussed. conclusion this practical guide will help the healthcare provider to acquire the necessary skills to provide a comprehensive care of patients with overweight, obesity and obesity-related diseases, using a multistep ketogenic dietary treatment, recognized by the club of the italian society of endocrinology (sie)—diet therapies in endocrinology and metabolism.

psoriasis represents an immune-mediated disease with an unclear cause that’s marked by inflammation triggered by dysfunction in the immune system, which results in inflammation in various parts of the skin. there could be obvious symptoms, such as elevated plaques; these plaques may appear differently depending on the type of skin. this disease can cause inflammation in the elbows, lower back, scalp, knees, or other regions of the body. it can begin at any age, although it most commonly affects individuals between the ages of 50 and 60. specific cells (such as t cells) have been observed to play an obvious role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis, in addition to specific immunological molecules such as tnf-, il-12, il-23, il-17, and other molecules that can aid in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. so, during the past two decades, biologists have created chemical drugs that target these cells or molecules and therefore prevent the disease from occurring. alefacept, efalizumab, adalimumab, ustekinumab, and secukinumab are a few examples of chemical drugs. it was discovered that these chemical drugs have long-term side effects that can cause defects in the patient's body, such as the development of the rare but life-threatening disorder progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (pcl). its rapidly progressive infection of the central nervous system caused by the jc virus and other drugs may cause increased production of neutralising anti-drug antibodies (ada) and the risk of infusion reactions like pruritus, flushing, hypertension, headache, and rash. so, our context intends to talk in our review about natural products or plants that may have therapeutic characteristics for this disease and may have few or no side effects on the patient's body.

the use of natural honey (nh) as a nutraceutical agent is associated with nutritional benefits and therapeutic promises. nh is widely accepted as food and medicine by all generations, traditions and civilizations, both ancient and modern. the nutritional profiles, including its use in infant and children feeding reported in different literatures as well as health indices and biomarkers observed by various researchers are illustrated in this manuscript. the review documents folk medicine, experimentation with animal models, and orthodox medical practices shown by clinical trials. this covers virtually all human organs and body systems extensively studied by different workers. the sources and adverse effects of nh contamination, as well as the preventive methods are identified. this could promote the availability of residue free honey and a wholesome natural product for domestic consumption and international market. this could also help to prevent health problems associated with nh poisoning. in addition, apicultural practices and the economic importance of honey are well documented. this report also includes information about a relatively unknown and uncommon south american stingless bee species. we concluded this review by identifying important roles for ethno-entomologists, other scientists and apiculturists in the development of stingless bees to boost honey production, consumption and economic earnings.
